Thought to pen. Pen to paper. Phone calls to NY. Phone calls to Jamaica. Emails all over the place. Argue with artist. Come to an agreement. Book artist. Thought to pen. Pen to paper. Illustrator and Photoshop. Bright-ass screen killing your eyes. Four hours later, delete the files and start over. Three days later, design is ready for print. Flyers arrive. Not happy with the color, but F it, they're cheap. Hit the streets. Watch hollywood-Kanye-types throw flyer on ground. Utter dry-humored sarcastic comment and laugh. Head home at 6 AM. Stop for petro and Redbull. Repeat last five sentences over and over for six or eight weeks. Open venue door and watch people have the time of their lives for a few hours. Hope you've made enough to pay the artist without dipping into your left pocket. Cool, looks like you have. Take everybody out for breakfast, even the two or three who weren't invited. Cruise home and sleep for ten hours straight.
